We're big fans of Instagram here at The Cookie Cups. We love connecting with our customers and sharing the latest flavors, classes, and behind-the-scenes fun at our bakery through our feed posts and Stories.
This popular social media platform is also great for getting to know the Minnesota foodie community. We have a lot in common with these local food lovers (obviously!), and we want to give a shout out to some of our favorite accounts we follow.
If you love delicious food and local eats as much as we do, we highly recommend checking out these seven foodie Instagram accounts, all based in our home state.
Bri and Eric (@tablefortwo_mpls)
The couple that dines together, stays together! We love following Bri and Eric's restaurant adventures through their Instagram account, Table for Two. These lovebirds are "eating and drinking their way through the Twin Cities" and sharing their incredible meals and cocktails with their followers. If you've ever wondered where to get amazing tacos or the best Old Fashioned in the area (according to Bri and Eric, it's Gori Gori Peku!), you'll want to check out this account.
Bridgett (@mrsinminneapolis)
Bridgett, a.k.a. "Mrs. in Minneapolis," is an avid Yelper who has reviewed countless local restaurants. Her Instagram account features many of the tasty drinks and meals she tries – and she never fails to describe her dishes in amazing detail! We love that she also offers some tips and insights on the restaurants themselves, in case you want to go there yourself.
Chelsea (@hungrygirl_mpls)
Chelsea may be based in Minneapolis, but she loves to explore the world through food and drink. On her Instagram account, you'll find a dazzling array of snacks, meals, desserts, and drinks from her adventures in Minnesota and beyond. Some Story Highlights from Chelsea's travels include Colorado, South Carolina, and Hawaii.
Eater Twin Cities (@eatertwincities)
Eater.com is a fantastic online publication that covers more than 20 foodie destinations across the country, including the Twin Cities. On their website, you'll find excellent food and restaurant-related articles from across the Minneapolis-St. Paul region. If you're more visual, though, follow the Eater Twin Cities Instagram account for a collection of mouth-watering food pictures from must-try eateries in the area.
Gaby Schwob (@foodiedelishmn)
With more than 13,000 followers, Gaby is a bona fide foodie influencer in the Twin Cities. It's easy to get lost (and hungry!) scrolling through her seemingly endless feed of meals and desserts. Gaby's Instagram has pictures and recommendations that will appeal to any palette, from the health-conscious, to the burger and brunch lovers, to the sweet tooths.
Jade (@jade.mpls)
Calling all dessert lovers (like us!) – Jade's Instagram account is a truly sweet treat for the eyes. Gorgeous-looking donuts, ice cream, cupcakes, pastries, milkshakes, and other yummy confections live on this sugar-fueled feed. Keep an eye out for the occasional appearance from Jade's dogs and cat, too!
Michele Phillips (@baconfatte)
For all you home chefs out there, Michele's blog, Bacon Fatte, is a phenomenal recipe resource for everyday classics. She lives by the motto, "food doesn't have to be fancy to be fabulous," and believes it should be celebrated every day. In addition to her artfully styled recipe photos, Michele's Instagram account also contains plenty of pics from her meals out on the town.
The Smoky Poet (@thesmokypoet)
If you love a good old-fashioned BBQ and a haiku, The Smoky Poet (formerly known as The Product Poet) is the Instagram account for you. Nearly 13,800 people follow “The Pitmaster, Poet and Storyteller” for his grilling and cocktail video tutorials, as well as his recommendations for all things barbecue and sous vide. For those who enjoy poetry, you can follow The Smoky Poet’s Stories for original haikus.
